Lab 10 Reflection

For Lab 10, we had to three different jQuery animations for a website given to us. For the first part, we had to troubleshoot and fix the code to have the images move like a slideshow in a row for the first box in the bottom of the link. The second part, we had to place a different function to have the information add on and continue with more details by fading lightly though. For the last box, we had to trouble shoot to have different images sliding up. This task was tricky because we couldn't find the code to fix this, and searched everywhere till one of our peers came up with a easy way to fix all of the problems for each boxes. I believe, in the future I can use the jQuery animations to design on websites for my business major, in college or in my career, it can be helpful towards my task which may or may not require website work, but can still be useful.

Lab 9 Reflection

For lab 9, we had to place the nine images in a row as a jQuery animation and add the captions. It's to be seen as a slideshow with arrows for "next" and previous". This task was confusing at first because only some images would appear on the slideshow, because some functions of the coding wouldn't work. What my error was not placing a 'div-class' with a 'slideshow-container' for all the images with an effect of fade.  From this lab, I learned how to properly use jQuery for slideshow animations with previous, and next arrows, to be able to use it for my portfolio as well.

Lab 8 Reflection

For lab 8, we had to change quotes every time the viewer would refresh using Javascript. This task was tricky because the quotes on the original coding was placed in different parts and some weren't even there. So we had to place the quotes given to use and the coding that went by "... var myQuotes = new Array(); myQuotes[0] = myQuotes[1] = "These days sleeping at your desk is not just acceptable, its encouraged- Atlantic, NAPS has changed the way people think about sleep, on a grand scale. -Washington Post'. " ...

Lab 7 Reflection

Lab 7 was all about troubleshooting and fixing the code. The original problem was to make the website look full and complete by moving parts up and down. Finding this coding was very difficult because it was part of Javascript and Jquery which are two very confusing softwares to be used on websites. To be able to have the functions working on this index link, we had to place more buttons which in the end weren't even needed and could've been done easier by something else.

Lab 6 Reflection

Lab 6 was quite fun because we had to place two different images as gifs with different face expressions. We also had to place a calculator for the gas mileage. One of the problems I had was the coding had small errors for the calculator, based on the Javascript. The calculator was tricky because one part of it was working for me and the rest wouldn't so, I got help from my classmates.       In the end, I learned more about javascript and how to improve on my websites with it. I realized I could use these codings and functions for later on, because lets say I have an internship or an actual job that requires computer work with softwares like Javascript, I can say I have some intel on it and be able to work with it.
