Lab 16 Reflection

Lab 16 was quite fun to work on it because I enjoyed working with Javascript to create an input where you can choose the level of blur you want for the picture shown, and another input where you can choose the amount of space of border you want for the picture, and as well as the input for the color for the space border. This lab was an easy task because the javascript and jQuery coding was not as difficult as I imagined to be, to work with. There was this one coding line, "const inputs= document.querySelector All('.controls input');" I had trouble trying to fix, because there was one typo in it, and it took me a while trying to find the mistake. With the help of one of my peers, I was able to fix that line, and have everything working for this lab 16.
In the end, I learned how to place an input for blur of an image and the input for a spacing border, including a color choice input too. I would love to use this as part as my portfolio, or a design for a future website as part as my career hobbies. I tend to use my skills based on Javascript or jQuery for it as well.

Missed out on College Fair!

Sadly, I missed out on the College Fair that occurred for 2017 Fall Semester because I wasn't feeling very well that day and had to go to the hospital. Over the day, I heard and how it went from my classmates. For instance, a peer told me that it went very successful because every college there was pleased on the way our school students were, and how we were so eager to learn about the colleges.

JQ Structure Poster Reflection

The JQ Structure Poster was all about showing all the labs that we've worked on with jQuery. The first step I completed was taking screenshots of all my labs and placing it as an image on the poster, then arranging it to make it look presentable. The next step I took, was making it stylish with the fonts and how I wrote "Lab 1" or so and placed my reflections for each lab. After I repeated this step for all three of my labs, I printed it out as a tabloid format, I had a little difficult printing it out the right way, because some parts of the format was incorrect, but with the exploring of the preferences for photoshop, I figured out my mistake, and handed it in on time.

CW What Does a CTE Diploma Means To Me?

In order to obtain a CTE Diploma, you need to complete the WBL workshop requirements and pass the CTE class for all three high school years with an 80+ average in it. You must have a decent attendance record with good behavior comments from other teachers to show you're a responsible student and that you care about your education. You'll need 44 credits in total with the other major subject and elective classes to have a regular high school diploma. CTE Diploma is different and more unique than the regular because it shows you experienced the professional life with the WBL trips and fairs, and met professional people at their jobs. Not only that but it shows, you achieved more than the average students by taking technical exams which relates to the real world situations.       To have a regular high school diploma, you would need to pass all five regents which are english, algebra, living environment, u.s history, and global history regents.
